Running for: Dutchess County Comptroller
Dan Aymar-Blair currently serves as the Dutchess County Comptroller, elected in 2024 as the county’s independent financial watchdog and is running for re-election this year. With a deep commitment to transparency, accountability, and responsible budgeting, he oversees county finances to ensure tax dollars are used efficiently and effectively. Before his election, Dan served as a Beacon City Council member from 2020 to 2024, where he championed policies focused on affordability, sustainability, and good governance.
In addition to his public service, Dan brings decades of experience as a senior finance leader within the New York City Public School system, managing complex budgets and operations. His approach as Comptroller centers on delivering clear, public financial information, identifying opportunities for cost savings, and improving services for Dutchess County residents. Dan lives in Beacon with his family and remains actively engaged in building a fairer, more fiscally responsible community.
