The Tonight show starring Jimmy Fallon
“I was part of this amazing thing. This fella here in New York, Peter Salett, started this thing called The Hometown Project, and it
encourages people who have a little bit of
notoriety to go back to their hometowns, and get people excited about local
elections and voting. And so I went back to Kentucky, played some music… we had local candidates come up and talk… It’s a
really positive way to do something.”
~Michael Shannon

On the Homefront
On the home front: “Wet Hot American Summer” director and Shaker Heights native David Wain has cut a couple of Twitter videos endorsing Democratic legislative candidates in Northeast Ohio. Wain’s videos on behalf of Cassimir Svigelj in House District 16 and Phil Robinson in House District 6 (the latter of which also features ex-“Saturday Night Live” performer and fellow Shakerite Molly Shannon) were done as a part of theHometown Project, which encourages “cultural leaders” to get involved with local candidates and issues in their hometowns.
