Virginia
Running for: House of Delegates | District 41
Lily Franklin is running for Delegate in Virginia’s 41st House District. A lifelong resident of Southwest Virginia, Lily is a dedicated public servant with nearly a decade of experience working for her community. A former math teacher in Appalachia, she witnessed firsthand the challenges of underfunded schools and communities pushed to the brink.
Now she’s running to bring real results for working families and rural towns.
Currently serving as Chief of Staff to Delegate Sam Rasoul, Lily has fought for and delivered key legislation, including microgrants for farmers, housing protections for domestic-violence survivors, laws cleaning up drinking water from “forever chemicals,” and a program focused on empowering constituents in the legislative process.
A graduate of Northside High School and Longwood University, Lily lives in Blacksburg with her beagle, Poppy. She is passionately committed to standing up for her neighbors in Richmond and making sure no one in Southwest Virginia is left behind.
