Nate Shannon has proudly represented District 58 in the State House since 2019, advocating for vital objectives like education, healthcare, public safety, infrastructure, and economic growth. Nate taught economics, government, and history in L'Anse Creuse public schools in Clinton Township for a decade before joining the state legislature. He also served on the Sterling Heights City Council. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Political Science from Oakland University and a Master of Secondary Education from Wayne State University.
Nate is dedicated to his community and has worked to improve public safety by boosting law enforcement spending and supporting first responders. He is a champion of education, having sponsored legislation to increase school spending and assist teachers. Nate has worked in healthcare to safeguard pre-existing condition coverage while also lowering prescription medication costs.
